132 Halsey Street is in Wynyard Quarter in central Auckland so was always going to be a challenging excavation due to a congested site and other construction traffic. We excavated 13,000m3 of reclaimed land with asbestos-containing material which had to be carted to a certified landfill.
The pre-planning and methodology of the excavation went to plan so the excavation was done ahead of programme and without any issues.
