ABOUT THE PROJECT
Pakenham Group Limited : $12.0 million
This Special Housing Area Project (SHA) fast tracked to combat Auckland’s housing crisis is situated on the Papakura–Clevedon Rd, Papakura. 13.8Ha of land have been subdivided into 165 lots. The project includes environmental controls, earthworks, drainage up to 6m deep, storm filters, raingardens, watermain, services, roading and traffic control. The existing ground being peat with old kauri logs called for special care during construction and probing for logs before starting. Old Wairoa Rd and Papakura-Clevedon Rd and berm also upgraded. Some asbestos removal and excessive water pumping added to the complexities.
The project consists of Five stages and a 9m deep Sewer Pump Station.
