The project was located in the middle of Hobsonville Point. With several buildings being built in the vicinity, we needed to plan our traffic management and methodology for removing the excavated material very carefully.
The challenge onsite involved ground conditions as the building was sited in a basin of soft clay. A lot of groundwater needed to be pumped during the excavation but with good planning we were able to excavate and remove off site over 8,000m3 of material with no issues at all.
